Adam Update February 14th, 2026
UPDATE ADAM:
Adam had the upper scope the evening before the colonoscopy (which was yesterday about 12:30). They got some of the blockage in the lower intestine, and he had several movements), but there seems to be more blockage in the upper, so surgery may be tomorrow.
He is off all but one BP med (he was up to 5). He is still on the ventilator, and will be until his surgery. He is alert and responsive, and doctor Pollopolli (Monopoly – don’t know spelling), told us yesterday that he is out of the ‘I can’t give you much hope he will survive this’ zone, to ‘he is out of immediate danger of passing away’ (my wording) and he said we will go from here. They do not know if the bowel will get its muscle back to keep things moving, particularly because he does not move much.
His friend Amber has been so faithful throughout all of this. She is quite a person, pray for her, for the Lord to bless her.
I know this. I saw my son who was septic, jaundiced, tubes and IV’s and dialysis cathether, and Central Venous Catheter, and nasal tube and Ventilator, and no life in his eyes. His skin was yellow gray and he smelled like death. But I also knew Who he belonged to, and I know of His great love. And I trusted Him completely to do what is right (shall not the Judge of the earth do right?). How much easier it is to trust in God vs. my own understanding. I told Him as much. And I’m so thankful He intercedes for me when I don’t know what to pray.
No matter what we will see before us, God is so worthy to be praised. Thank you all for your prayer support and love that you have given.

Terry, Walking through these things over the years, I’ve learned I’m very slow in remembering sometimes, the great things He has done for me…
But praying for each thing, however seemingly little, has made it so much easier to go through these difficulties. It doesn’t mean that I am not exhausted, but He makes a way through each trial. And sometimes we have to say, ‘I can’t do this’. And we might have to rest as He makes us to lie down in green pastures, and leads us by still waters. I pray before I leave, and before I walk even 🙂 Anyways, I am praying for you dear sister, these times are hard, but He is with us.
