2-11-26 Update on Adam
(Brief note. 2-12, called early morning sometime (was still dark) but Adam needed a transfusion, his hemoglobin was 6.7. Thank you for your prayers.)
Update 2-11-2026
Adam is not doing any better. They didn’t want to do an CT because of danger of even moving him. Today they say they need to do a CTscan, in order to find out what is going on, and if what is going on is even recoverable at all.
We were given the explanation yesterday of a ‘dead bowel’ and if this thing (from whatever he swallowed), broke off and is blocking his intestines, it is not a good scenario at all. Adam seems vaguely alert at times, and sometimes in pain it seems from his grimaces. He has limb movement, but they are trying to keep a balance of pain and sedation as well as keeping his blood pressure up. We are all run-over-by-a-truck exhausted, or at least I am.
Amber is with him now, and we will go shortly. My daughter, son-in-law and 5 grandchildren are traveling here today (about 9-1/2 hours) and they hope to see him tonight. Please pray for safe travel.
Pray for God’s wisdom, for guidance on the right choices and while we are there for the remembrance there are other people suffering who need prayer and hope. We do not despair or mourn as those who have no hope.
Many do not understand what an eternity without Jesus would be like. Adam knows.
These are not ‘cunningly devised fables’ regarding the ‘power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ’. Jesus is real, the only way to be saved, and He is who He said He was (the Great I AM). And Jesus is coming again. I see lots of people talking about ‘being ready’. There is one way to ‘be ready’ for His coming, and that is for you to place your faith in Him as your Savior. Believe that He alone is the way to be saved. Not by any works of your own. He will save you from the penalty of death (eternal separation from God in a place called hell). And He will keep you saved until the moment you die.
Please read this PDF handbook on how you can be sure you are going to heaven when you die. It’s a serious matter of life and death. Where would you go if you died this moment? We are not promised tomorrow

Adam believed on Jesus alone to save. At times I’d throw him a hardball and ask things like, “If you are really, really bad and decide you don’t believe in Jesus any more, can you lose your salvation?”
He would answer, NO.
I might ask him how one could be saved, and he would answer, “Believe in Jesus”!
(I know, I know, there are those of you out there who will misuse James 2 and cite, ‘even the demons believe and tremble’. Use context please, and if you want to know why it doesn’t relate that for the reason you are using, ask).
Adam was able to recite John 3:16 still (the KJV that he learned as a little one).
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
My Daughter and I sang, Jesus loves me this I know (Adam and I would also sing it together, and he could also sing it by himself).
Friends (or family), being a good person will not save you from hell. No matter how great you are, every single one of us has fallen short of God’s glory. He is perfect, heaven is perfect, and not one teeny little white lie can enter, for death, sickness, sorrow and pain would continue eternally and He cannot and will not allow that. The wages of sin is death (Rom 6:23), but the GIFT of God is eternal life.
There is only one remedy for the penalty of death. Simply put, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved (given the free gift of eternal life). Don’t listen to those who corrupt the simplicity that is in Christ. Believe God, not them. Or those who bring you ‘another’ Jesus (one who pre-existed like all of us supposedly did). No! Jesus Himself said, “I am from above, YOU are from beneath.” You did not pre-exist as a spirit child. I tell you this not to argue, but in great love as Jesus had for you (John 15:13). God does not desire you perish from believing a lie and I don’t either, even if you don’t want to hear from me again.
Adam has believed in the simple gospel of salvation apart from any added works. I sure pray you will too. Here is another link, a short video from Pastor Yankee Arnold if you would like to take a few minutes to watch.
Please don’t believe the ones that put Jesus to death daily in the mass, or resurrect His flesh in the eucharist. He sacrificed Himself ONCE for all. And His is the ONLY sacrifice that can take away sins, not what your priests do daily. By ONE offering he has perfected for ever them that are sanctified (see Hebrews 10:10-14)
Jesus saves forever. If your church tells you that you can lose or walk away from salvation, they are not rightly discerning the whole counsel of God. Ask, and when I can, I will explain, IF you really want to know. Time is short, so if you just want to argue, don’t waste your time. I’m always willing to sharpen iron, but not willing to strive (2 Tim 2:14). There are hundreds of thousands of voices and ‘influencers’ who supposedly know the truth. And it conflicts with the truth of God’s Word. Pray, tell God you are willing and open to hear the truth even if it challenges what you were taught growing up (or even not taught anything at all about God). Romans 1 still says you can see Him everywhere, He has made Himself known (see also Psalm 19:1-5).
Why am talking more about Jesus than Adam? Because our life here is but a vapor. I hope when I die, you will all remember that, and speak of the only one that can save their souls and not waste much time talking about me.
That would be Adam’s desire too, because whenever his time is, it will only be better for him. Adam will have a whole brain again, his strength will be renewed, he will mount up with wings like eagles, he will run and not be weary, he will walk and not be faint (Isaiah 40:31 pp). We may want to keep him here, and hope for more time, but we trust God’s goodness, mercy, faithfulness, love and wisdom in all things.
We love you and thank you for praying for us always, we are so appreciative.

When O Survey the Wondrous Cross
By;
Isaac Watts
Galatians 6:14
“When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss,
And pour contempt on all my pride.
Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,
Save in the death of Christ my God!
All the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them to His blood.
See from His head, His hands, His feet,
Sorrow and love flow mingled down!
Did e’er such love and sorrow meet,
Or thorns compose so rich a crown?
Were the whole realm of nature mine,
That were a present far too small;
Love so amazing, so divine,
Demands my soul, my life, my all.”
May Adam’s soul be restored as in the
23 Psalm
Thank you dear Marcie. Praying for the same for you and Teri <3
Praying for you, Adam and your family. I have a friend here whose husband is dying from lymphoma – he was moved to a hospice house yesterday. The cancer spread to his brain, but he is SO EXCITED to be meeting Jesus face to face soon! This world is death, decay and disease, but JESUS. And we WILL see Him soon at the rapture of the church! Hang in there, Holly. You are loved by the God who created us. And He has you and your family in His hands. Maranatha!
Thank you so much Kathy. We got some hopeful news today. Whatever happens we know how good He is. Praying for your friend.
Holly, Jane and I are thinking of your family during this time. Our prayers are with you, your family, Adam, and the caregivers working with him right now. Praying especially for the wisdom and courage of all involved.
Thank you John and Jane. I’m always so thankful when believers pray. No matter what they pray I know He is making intercession even when we don’t know what to say. That gives me such comfort. Thanks to you both!
Praying, Holly. The Lord is with you all, and I know your family will magnify the Lord from whence your strength comes. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
Thank you Debbie (and Roy, Britt and Em) and all the rest. Love you guys, appreciate your prayers. May He be glorified even (and especially) in our weakness.
Amen! Yes it’s all about Jesus! The one who is Able to Save and Heal not only Adam but everyone who asks! Sad to hear this about Adam. Praying for him and your strength. Strength and wisdom for everyone. Also safe traveling mercies for your family who are on there way. Sending prayers, hugs, love and words of encouragement ❤️!
