Part 2 on the Lies told about Jews (Israel)

Part 1 seen here

‘Fear not, O Jacob My servant,’ declares the Lord,
‘And do not be dismayed, O Israel;
For behold, I will save you from afar
And your offspring from the land of their captivity.
And Jacob will return and will be quiet and at ease,
And no one will make him afraid.

‘Therefore all who devour you will be devoured;
And all your adversaries, every one of them, will go into captivity;
And those who plunder you will be for plunder, And all who prey upon you I will give for prey.

Jeremiah 30:10,16

Enemies of the Jews

In part 1, we spoke of just a part of the countries in antiquity that have typically been the enemy of the Jews. The Houti’s in Yemen have launched many missile and drone attacks against Israel. In the last few years we’ve also seen the relentless rocket and missile attacks by Hezbollah and Hamas through many cooperative Palestinians — financed heavily by Iran and other Arab Countries. We may never fully know all the horrific stories of their sadistic crimes of the October 7th massacre (committed upon whom Israel-deniers?). God knows of their evil and heinous crimes and they will pay dearly.

Most have to be aware of the recent Iranian conflict with Israel, but maybe they are not knowledgeable regarding more than just nuclear materials being produced. For many years, Iran has been supplying weapons, missiles and drones for attacks against Israel to other hostile Muslim countries. These countries, such as Syria, Lebanon and Iraq, have all threatened to wipe Israel off the face of the map. Another phrase we see is ‘drive Israel into the sea‘ or the one used by the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), ‘from the river to the sea‘ — a clarion call for their extermination. Why is this ignored and reapplied somehow to Israel? Because this is typical of Satan, to accuse of the very thing one is doing. And this is Satanic thinking.

Iran has had its scientists working on Nuclear weapons for many years. For some reason in times past the United States has not been very vocal about it. However if you look up timelines of these things you can see the surgical strikes by Israel to stop this from happening, not mass wide-spread bombings. And who warns before they do have to bomb an area so that civilians can get out? Who drops fliers?

If your neighbor continually called for your death, and every single person related to you to be wiped out, and was stockpiling weapons and providing them to all of your neighbors who also wanted to kill you — would you do nothing? And just let your entire family be wiped out?

Today, Israel has confirmed it has attacked the Syrian army headquarters in Damascus as well as another military target and the palace. More news to come.

But it has not just been Arab nations who have warred against Jews, but the Roman Catholic religion (think Crusades) as well as the Spanish inquisition. Martin Luther was a terrible antisemite. Even the UK, having promised them some of their land back in the Balfour declaration of 1917, still was an enemy to Israel. Trying to back up from their promises, limiting immigration, making Arab to Jew land sales illegal, and putting Jews in concentration (called internment) camps of their own. Rather than stick with their word, they even abstained in the vote for statehood for Israel. Quite the opposite of what they had originally promised the Jewish people.

My resolve in writing this series came through a lot of thinking and praying over the past few months. Especially when a friend (who I love), said she ‘would not bless Israel’, (from which this article sprang).

It should go without saying that blessing and cursing doesn’t mean blindly accepting evil or blanketing everything Israel does as good while ignoring evil doings. Every single nation has evil in it. Every single false religion is against God (and we know the Jews are not believers yet and are all children of disobedience, as we were). As far as sin’s penalty is concerned, none worse than the other.

Should we bless Israel if they’re doing wrong?

Show me in Scripture where it says we switch to cursing Israel if they do wrong. I see many naming Christ believing and repeating all the propaganda and conspiracy theories out there as if fact. Rather than stick with the Word, they try to squirm out of the Biblical mandate for us to bless Israel, to Pray for Israel, and provoke Israel to Jealousy. I see the same excuses for why they don’t pray for Trump. Instead these same self-proclaimed discerning one’s, curse Israel, while saying Israel isn’t Israel (misusing Scripture). For this reason, they will not pray for Israel or bless them. The main excuse these Israel-deniers use, is that they say the people in Israel (as a whole) are evil or genocidal, or not Israel at all. I don’t know which history book they have been reading, or which news station, or which mixed up celebrity political ‘news’ spokespeople (like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, John Rich and others) — but their ideas are not in accord with Scripture.

Furthermore, we have all sorts of people calling for intifada including a recent wannabe NY politician, Zohran Mamdani who wants to ‘globalize the intifada’. We see this rhetoric all over campuses today in leftists organized protests. This is nothing more than calling for the extermination of everyone Jewish, no matter how some of the Muslim leaders want to characterize it as an uprising against ‘oppressors’. Do these people who call Israel genocidal not smell the irony? How can this little, tiny nation ‘oppress’ the many hostile giants around them? Come on, Get real.

If you are one who will not bless Israel (or even curse them), I’m asking you to consider it prayerfully and searching the Scriptures, handling them with fear and trembling. Consider the spirit in which accusations towards Israel are made by others. The constant call for Israel to be wiped off the face of the map. Remember, God’s love for Israel and His irrevocable Covenant with them has not ended. He has not cast away His people. Is your attitude towards them one of provoking them to jealousy? Or is your attitude one that would drive them further from their Messiah? In truth I would have no interest in what you believe, when I hear what some of you say.

Every people, each nation, shouldn’t be characterized by the worst examples in them. Our own nation has terrible flaws, and our government as well. We have had some shameful history as well as some good. War, violence, slavery, prejudice, racism, sexual depravity, shedding the blood of innocent little babies, hatred of our neighbors and so on. We’ve argued, been stubborn, wicked, proud, hateful, shed innocent blood, lied about others, sowed discord — things the Lord hates. One only needs to read comment threads to see the hardness of many. Some have gone into realms of great wickedness and become seemingly completely hardened. We have to acknowledge that we (America) are and have been a sinful people. Think on how far the UK, Australia, Canada, France, Ireland, and more have fallen from what is good and right — we have all sinned. But we also have an awful lot of wonderful things about us and have done a lot of good for people too. Same with Israel and some of these other countries.

No one should have to list the Jews’ many accomplishments — people should be more than aware. They have contributed above and beyond (not just to their immediate society), but benefiting the entire world. Throughout history they have contributed much good. But in each generation, their accomplishments have seemed to spur jealousy and demonic hatred (same as we see throughout Biblical history). Daily I hear broad-brushed claims of Israel being evil, genocidal, wicked and even ‘murderers of Christ’. This from those who are supposed to bless Israel, and are just as guilty of the death of Christ as are we all. Jesus Himself said no one took His life, but He gave it willingly (John 10:17-18). He knew these types of spurious accusations would be made against His people.

It is Israel in their Land

Again, it is ‘real’ Israel in the land. It is this Israel who will make a treaty with the Antichrist. It is the real Jews who have been gathered back to the land in unbelief in these last days (a final gathering to come after Daniel’s 70th week). It is this same Israel who became a nation in one day and was immediately attacked by five hostile nations. More on that later below.

Abraham lived in the land of the Philistines in the beginning and was told he could live wherever he wanted (by King Abimelech). His son Isaac was there prospering after the King warned no one to touch him. He worked the land and because he was blessed, the Philistines were envious. Because of that jealousy the Philistines filled up all Abraham’s wells with dirt. So the King, instead of keeping his word to deal with any who touched Isaac, sent Isaac from the land saying they had grown too great. So Isaac departed and heads to Gerar, where the jealousy continues. They dig wells and each one the envious people take from them, until finally they keep one in Rehoboth. Isaac traveled to Beersheba where his father Abraham had the very same issue with the Philistines and the well there. Abraham had eventually made a covenant with King Abimelech and purchased the well for seven ewe lambs (even though they dug it). Just as he purchased land in Canaan when Sarah died. It was offered freely but Abraham insisted on purchasing it (the land God promised him).

Jump forward to Jeremiah and the purchase of a piece of property outside of Jerusalem at the time of the Babylonian siege. There is a pattern too long to go into here, but it is trust in God’s promises to them. Who would buy land that would soon be overrun by an enemy? One who trusts God’s promises. Their many successes and blessings have caused jealousy and murderous hatred throughout Biblical and secular history as well.

The Jewish people have long been known for their disproportionate success in finances, medical and scientific achievements. A few people, but mighty, a special treasure to God. It shows they are blessed by God, not because of them personally, but because of His love and promises to their forefathers. I believe it is why there is such Satanic hatred against them.

“For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.  The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; but because the Lord loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Deut 7:6-8

People still seem determined to go beyond just pointing out flaws in some Jewish people, but will apply them to all, and exaggerate them to extreme, (or make them up altogether). They share nefarious plans by ‘evil’ Jews or cabals, or play clips on TikTok of the schemes of some mad rabbi, that they believe as if gospel. I ponder how they think they know what an evil cabal is really doing, thinking or planning. Can they read minds? Do they not understand they are guessing? Oh, but I forget, they claim the Holy Spirit has revealed this to them.

Some mindlessly repeat propaganda bytes, (knowingly or otherwise), and this makes them false accusers. They blame the Jews for things that sometimes cross over into fantastical. Again, we don’t bless them because they are more special or deserve it, but because of God’s love for them and promises to their forefathers (and because He has asked us to in His Word).

Some of the slanderous accusations in history have stirred up venomous hatred against the Jews (think Martin Luther). This has been going on since the beginning. Here’s where I’m just so grieved, in that there has never been a people that others have sought so vigorously to murder or wipe out since the beginning of their history — just because they are Jews. Thinking of them as less than human. It’s ironic that people accuse them of genocide, when the goliath nations around them consistently call for Israel to be ‘wiped off the face of the map.’

As I mentioned earlier, even their supposed allies (like Britain), after the holocaust, sought to keep them from moving back to their own land, putting them in internment camps. This was after they had declared years before (1917 Balfour declaration) they should be able to live in their land. From there, in 1947, there was the United Nations mandate (which the Arabs wouldn’t accept), and attacks ensued. And then the Declaration of independence on May 14, 1948. There was an immediate attack on the Israelis by five Arab nations (Egypt, Iraq, TransJordan, Lebanon, Syria).

There is no way to go into all of the history in the wars before and since the beginning of the promises. Too many of them and there are far more educated people on the subject. I care much more about what the Bible says regarding the land and am perplexed by those who do not seem to feel the same.

What’s Biblically interesting to me is the fact that Jerusalem would remain under international control administered by the United Nations. The crusades under Roman Catholic Pope Urban the II (and the Byzantine Empire – Rome), had this as their first goal. To which they sought to bring Jerusalem under their control and massacred the Jews and Muslims there. Why do others want the land promised to the Jews? This continued hatred towards Israel and the Jews, is one of the many ways the veracity of His Word is declared.

Wipe Israel off the face of the map

Wipe them off the face of the map,” all the massive Islamic Countries have chanted in hatred. Drive them into the sea. Now we are hearing it in our Universities that have been brainwashed by far left radicals who hate Israel. I suggest this article by Shai Davidai, a Columbia professor who has walked away because of their antisemitism, but says he will continue the fight. (Shai is also Michael Greenspan’s son-in-law). His article brought tears to my eyes considering the depraved morals of some of the professors and leaders in this University.

Against all odds, this little tiny speck of a country has survived the surrounding hostile nations seeking their complete extermination. These nations being over 90 x their size. And still, they are blamed as the oppressor.

Against All Odds

Speaking of ‘Against all odds’, you will probably be surprised that I would recommend a documentary by the same name, because it is by a CNN Journalist named Michael Greenspan. I absolutely was moved by it. You can find it on Prime video; it is true stories by different individuals of miracles during different important events in Israel’s history. A couple reflect on the Yom Kippur war. Another story from WW1 of a Major who decides to mimic the Biblical story of Jonathan and Saul and the miracle at Michmash. A moving true tale from an old woman recounting her arrest for being a spy with the Mossad (and all the torture she endured). More stories of the Holocaust, the Irgun Freedom Fighters, the miracle of ’48, the military victory in 1967 and more. Greenspan even allows a story to be told of beings wielding flaming swords protecting a Jewish village. Storks which suddenly appear to gobble up a plague of locusts. I commend him for sharing what was told, although he said he was agnostic. He even asked a rabbi how he could more embrace his Jewish self. But the rabbi missed of course, Mr. Greenspan can experience his own miracle, by researching the claims of Jesus, along with the prophecies about Him. And I’m praying for Michael, that h will come to know his Jewish Messiah, who gave His life for him in great love. Like Israel, Yeshua has been lied about by many. He came unto His own (the Jews) and His own received Him not.

This ‘documentary’ is not made with a large budget, but the stories are compelling, and giving us a look at the historical accounts of Israel going back to their homeland. Admittedly, it was hard for to see, in that many Jews saw the miracle of Israel being preserved, they believed in the miracles done on their behalf, but they are still missing their very own Messiah. I sure pray some come to know Him before this very terrible time coming (the Time of Jacob’s trouble – Daniel 9:7-24; Revelation 6-19, Jeremiah 30:6-7), or before they meet their Maker face to face. God bless Israel, God bless the Jewish people, and of course I pray the same for all peoples.

Back to the historical slander of God’s chosen people. In the 14th century, the Jewish people were blamed for the Bubonic plague. People turned to accuse the Jews, saying they were poisoning wells or drinking fountains. Like the insane John Calvin believing people were wiping the plague on his doorknobs.

Martin Luther wrote an awful book about them “On the Jews and their lies.” In it he said many terrible things which helped spur on the Satanic hatred of many, including Hitler (in Mein Kampf) and the Nazis to this day still reprint and distributee everywhere.

What about the evil lie that the Holocaust was a hoax? It gets perpetuated by some to this day. People trying to leave countries with pictorial evidence of these crimes were oftentimes hunted and killed.

No matter the event, people seem to find a tie to the Jews. Some made sure to blame the Jews for the invention of the Covid virus as well as the Covid 19 spread. They said it was ‘the Jews’ who had intentions of killing off their own population (via the Covid-19 Vax). Again, as with any of these things, can some have evil intentions? Of course. Do some Americans have evil intentions? We know so. Do some Christians you know do or say evil things?

Until the end, Satan will still seek to destroy Israel as he despises God’s chosen people (see Revelation 12), and it tragically seems some naming Christ do as well.

Zionism

What is Zionism? The originator of ‘Zionism’ simply called for Jews to return to their homeland. Mount Zion is God‘s Mountain upon which He will set His earthly throne, (Psalm 2:6; 48:1; Isa 2:2; Zech 8:3).

Jerusalem is His beloved city, and NOT the United Nation’s city (Zech 14:4, 9,16-21). It is the land of Judah (Jer 31:12), and the land of Israel (Zech 9:13). His Mountain will be raised up and the rest of the land a plain. God is the One who has, and is, bringing Jews back to their land (currently in unbelief). There will be a final gathering in belief at the end of the Tribulation. So is God mistaken and somehow bringing the wrong people to Israel?

Zionism has become a dirty word or an epithet to many. Some state that it is a ‘political movement’ with a dirty government. (I still ponder how they think they can see and know any of these men’s hearts or motives — whether in or out of government. And remember, God has set them in place – 1 Sam 16:7; Rom 13). We are to love and pray for all men (1 Tim 2:1-6; Mark 12:29-31), again, even our enemies.

Even Ai defines Zionism as Israel maintaining a state in Palestine. We know it’s not really ‘Palestine’. You can research the history of how the name came about originally if you like, (some say after the Philistines). But after a Judean revolt, the Romans renamed it Palestine — their effort to wipe out the name of Israel for good. There were no ‘Palestinians’, this is a new adaptation by some Arabs who are in the land. This land is Israel’s (the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) — it belongs to them alone, given to them by God. What God has put together, you will not put asunder, as hard as you may try (This Land is Mine). This is a tiny sliver of land, which the Bible calls a cup of trembling, a burdensome stone to those mainly hostile Islamic nations which surround it. Whose consuming desire is to rid the world of the Jewish people, God’s chosen people. Israel’s continued existence is a testament and witness to the truth of God, His promises, and that the land is theirs. These nations continue to come to lay siege against Israel. They have never stopped, but God will stop it one day.

A blessing of the coming Jewish Messiah was to all men (Gen 26:3-4) but the land was promised only to the descendants through Isaac, and Jacob.  (Exo 6:8; Gen 12:6-8; 13:14-17; 17:7-8, 26:3-4, 35:11-13; 48:4; Ez 20:5-6; Acts 7:5). The Redeemer, Jesus Christ, Israel’s promised Messiah, would also come through the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel). The promise of the blessing (of salvation from eternal separation from God) would be to all men. But salvation would be of the JEWS, and many seem to forget that. And many more forget or deny that God has not cast away His people. He has made them a promise, and He will fulfill it.

Is it real Israel in the Land?

The argument is that ‘it is not real Israel, or the ‘Israel of God’ in the land because they are not yet believers. No kidding, of course they aren’t, they are in partial blindness until the fulness of the Gentiles is to come in. That is why we (the church) are to provoke them to jealousy. To earnestly desire that they (Israel) might be saved as Paul did. It was his kinsmen according to the FLESH (not Spirit). Not one of ‘that’ Israel now is ‘in Christ’. Those Jews who believe now are part of the church although still Jewish by birth. Those who will come to believe in the end, are Israel. Many are in their land now (not all of them, nor all of their land).

Who has been drawn back to her land in unbelief? The Rockefellers? The Rothschilds? The Ethiopians? Israel, the Jews, are the ones who innately desire to live in their homeland. You think you can ‘discern’ who they are, or who they are not? People who are discerning do not have to advertise it. Their speech, their wisdom, their manner of life, testifies to others. You think we only bless Israel if they behave well enough to bless? We are to bless even our enemies, have you forgotten that?…those of you who name Christ.

We are never to call evil good and good evil, but be careful that you have your facts straight and your history right, and most importantly, that you rightly handle His Word. We know all man is sinful. As we were, they are children of disobedience still at this moment. Where is your compassion? What was the last Jewish person you can think on that you provoked to jealousy by your love for them, your light to them, your speaking of the truth to every man? Or have you ever?

Some of you need to ask your ‘discerning selves,’ where your hatred is bubbling up from. Is it really truth? Is it God’s wisdom? Have you carefully gone to several reliable sources?

We should be able to see the vast contrasts in these battles, one uses less discriminatory missile hits, one more surgical. One avoids civilians, one targets them.  One wants to take out the wicked leaders, the other wants to wipe them all out, women and children included. One side is known for heinous murders of women and children, including baby rape and decapitation. We know that when Israel got blamed for hospital bombings, it was Hamas rockets, not Israel’s. In war, anything can happen. But you do not walk in their shoes with huge hostile nations around you constantly calling for the entire extermination of your race.

And yet some of you continue to blame them.

It is Jews who MUST be in the land to fulfill end-time prophecy. Some reasons why it is Israel in the land.

  • Israel has to be there to finish the transgression (the last seven years of the prophecy for their transgression – Dan 9:7-24)
  • Israel will build their Tribulation Temple (Dan 9:27; Rev 11:1-2; 2 Thess 2:3-4; Matt 24:15-21)
  • Israel will make or confirm an existing Peace Treaty with the AC and many nations (Dan 9:27)
  • It will be Jews who will flee from their land at the 3-1/2 year point, (the abomination of desolation), to a place we believe is Petra near Bozrah (means sheep pen). This is where Israel will be supernaturally kept by God for 3-1/2 years (Rev 12:6,13-17).
  • It will be Jews who will be regathered at the end (Jer 33:8; Ez 11:17; Ez 37:1-14; Rom 11:26; Matt 24:30-31; Is 27:12-13; 11:11-16)
  • It is living, believing Israelites who will finally receive the entirety of the promised land, and they will possess it fully (in the Millennium). There God will finally fulfill His promise of a house, a Kingdom (King) and a Throne. They will have descendants in all their land, and a King in Mount Zion.

Israel is beloved for the sake of the fathers. They may be enemies of the gospel at this time, but things will change. They may have rejected their Messiah at the time of their visitation, but they will look upon the One they pierced and mourn. They will confess with their mouths, “blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord”.

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience, even so these also have now been disobedient, that through the mercy shown you they also  may obtain mercy.

For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all.

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

“For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counselor?”
“Or who has first given to Him And it shall be repaid to him?”

For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Romans 11:29-36
