Eye has not seen, nor ear heard

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9

My beautiful Mom, Dottie, went to be with the Lord early this AM.

The Lord woke me fairly abruptly at about the same time the hospital called my sister, up where they were in Idaho. I didn’t know then that she had been called, but woke praying for my mom’s peace and comfort, and for a lack of fear. I prayed for my sister’s strength, and she has been strong throughout. I read for a while and prayed for a while. When reading, I saw an old memory with Isaiah 40:31 which has a special meaning in the death of my late husband, so sharing here, as they also are together now with Jesus.

Mount up with wings like eagles

Finally, I myself was more at peace and done praying a couple hours later. I decided to try to go back to sleep, I was to find it was right after the time she went home. The Lord sent her a Christian nurse who prayed with her and had Christian music softly playing in the background. The song playing when she was carried away by the angels was based on Numbers 6:24-26, a promise made to Israel (seems appropriate since she loved and prayed for Israel).

The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:  the Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:  the Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)

My mom was older, and ready to be with the Lord. She wanted so badly for others to know so that they might know where they would go when they die. But in light of some things of late in my family’s life, I am well aware of the truth that we are not promised tomorrow.

I have recently been given a diagnosis of Kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma). I didn’t want to tell my mom initially, but my sister thought it best. She was tender to me and said she was praying. She told me she believed it would be alright, and that the Lord still had things for me to do. I do not know what my time looks like, but I am in peace with the outcome whenever it is, knowing I am kept by His power. I know where I will go when I die, and not because I’ve ever been any great person, but because of what Jesus did in my place. And my mom was at peace too. We talked about it together in understanding. She had been through so much with two stage four forms of cancer, chronic heart failure and so much more. The doctors gave her little hope, but 20 years later she fought the good fight of faith and finished the race well. So, I want to share you with you all what my mom would tell you in love so you too could be assured of eternal life with Jesus.

This is a picture of my mom, one of hundreds and hundreds with her before a crowd of little ones, or even adults, she, like Jesus, loved the little children.

A friend recently told me she knew where she was going because she was a ‘good girl’. I wanted to weep. None of us are good enough, that is God’s Word, those are not mine. Only Jesus was sinless.

Both my young sons were recently in serious accidents. One was broadsided by an elderly gentleman who ran a red light. The other, a few nights later, had a large javelina run out in front of him when he was driving home on the highway — he and another car struck it. His car was quite destroyed. But praise God, both were delivered from any physical injuries. But all these things are a reminder that none of us can know when our time is to die.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalm 90:12

Are you ready for your death?

If you are counting on being a good person, or even a ‘good Christian’, I’d ask you to remember that none of us are good – Rom 3:12, (not good enough to meet His standards). Only Jesus Christ met His perfect standard. Not even one who has lied once will enter heaven (Revelation 21:27). He is our only hope.

If you are counting on the church you attend, please think again, they are human too, and cannot save you, or offer their life for you as Jesus did.

There is only One Way to God the Father. Jesus made that very clear He alone was that way. It is not through a church, through the Virgin Mary, nor through good works of any kind (John 14:6; Eph 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7; Rom 4:1-6; Gal 2:16; Rom 11:6).

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

From a Pastor friend’s (Tom Cucuzza) website:

Here is a list of some of the good things people think will help them get to Heaven, yet according to the Bible, none of these things can make us perfect in God’s sight:

  • Trying to keep the commandments.
  • Repenting of all your sin.
  • Going to church.
  • Sincerely trying to turn from sin.
  • Getting water baptized.
  • Being sorry for your sin.
  • Keeping ordinances or sacraments.
  • Committing yourself to God to try to live a better life.
  • Making Jesus the Lord of your life.
  • Trying to get rid of bad habits.
  • Giving money.
  • Promising to be a better husband or wife.
  • Asking Jesus into your heart.
  • Giving your life to Christ.
  • This list is not all inclusive, but it is indicative of what
    many people believe.

But the Bible says:

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph 2:8-9

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Acts 16:31

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. John 6:47

So what do we do or what can we do to get that gift that guarantees us eternal life from God? It is a free gift, we cannot earn it. We can only believe Him to save us, and that His way, is the only way to the Father.

First, understand, Jesus is the Son of God (not one of many, but THE Son), come in the flesh. He was Man and God, the only one. He is eternal, like the Father. Nobody else like Him now or in the future (for those of you who believe you will become like God), No, there was and will always be the only begotten Son. He let it be know He was the Great I AM (EX 3:14), and said if you didn’t believe in Him, you would die in your sins. Please don’t wait.

He loved you so much, that He laid down His life for you willingly to pay for your sin debt (John 15:13; John 10:17-18).

We all fear death naturally (although some would deny that). The Bible tells us through that fear of death, we were in bondage all our lives. But He took upon flesh. He suffered, shed His blood to pay the price in full, and died for you. Rising again from the dead in three days, He was seen by many, (by over 500 at once — something my mom used to share in her giving of the gospel). In rising again from the dead, Jesus had victory over the enemy, death and the grave. (Heb 2:14-15; 1 Cor 15:50-58). It’s natural to fear the end of our lives or the loss of loved ones. But you don’t have to fear. You can know where you will end up when you die.

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:13).

The Bible is reliable and has stood the test of time with so many prophecies fulfilled throughout the centuries. Not written by a few men conspiring together in one time and place, but by at least 40 authors over 16 centuries on different continents, in different languages (Hebrew, Aramaic-Syriack, Greek). It’s completely harmonic and compelling in its truth. (Just want to know more about all of this? Click here)

Forasmuch then as the children (us) are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he (Jesus) might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.  Heb 2:14-16

God wants to deliver you from the power of the enemy (death) and give you eternal life freely. No works, no promises, no turning from sin can help you get the free gift of eternal life. Please don’t buy into that.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love (Jesus). Col 1:13

Please consider watching this video and reading this full explanation HERE, so you can be sure of where you are going when you die. We will all die. And I’d like to be sure of where you are going when you die, I really want to see you again, and I know my mom is seeing Jesus face-to-face, along with many people she gave the gospel to, who believed and passed on before her.

Jesus feels the same and more. He desires that not one that He created should perish. He gave His life as a ransom for all men (2 Pet 3:9; 1 Tim 2:1-6) desiring that all should be saved. But He will not force anyone to believe on Him, but trust me, He wants it. There is forgiveness for all. He loved you so much that He died for you, and for all of your sins, before you were ever born. No sins left to pay for. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.

Love in Christ, Dottie and Holly

Holly, I certainly did not expect the news of your Mother and yourself in this post. I lost my father – my last parent – a month ago. It hurts no matter what the age. I just feel sad hearing the passing of your mother and your diagnosis, but having had my faith so encouraged by your posts over the years, I also know we serve the God of all hope. I think of the verse “But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve, as do the rest who have no hope.” 1Thessalonians 4:13 Isn’t it a blessing that we have eternal life? I will pray for your healing and peace for your mother’s passing. Please continue to post – I don’t want to imagine the Christian life without your wisdom and encouragement. John

    • So sorry John, my mom was my last parent too, my dad went to be with the Lord in the end of 2016. It does hurt for us. We mourn the loss of their presence in our lives. Hearing their voice again. Getting a hug from them. But as you pointed out, our grief is not the same as others. We know we will see them again, not because of anything we have done, but because of Jesus and His sacrifice for us. I can’t even fathom the many blessings He has given us, but eternal life?… so thankful.

I will continue as long as He is willing, I know I am blessed to be able to share some thoughts here. Thank you for your encouraging words John. What a blessing to even be able to fellowship this way. Love in Christ, Holly

Dear Holly, So very sorry to read that your dear mother passed away yesterday. She is now happy in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ, and no longer suffering. My condolences. And you have been through so much, Holly, with the loss of family members, and now with the dreadful C diagnosis. Know that we are praying for you every night. Phil. 4:19 Many blessings, and love in Christ, Geraldine Parker (no longer on FB)

    • Geraldine, I am so glad to hear from you, I had wondered where you had gone and asked a couple of people that we were friends with in common. They didn’t know either, so thankful to hear you’re ok. I’m so thankful to the Lord the way He answered our prayers with the way and timing she went home. I am also so thankful for the sorrows and even losses in my life, because He has shown Himself to be so faithful and made all those times so much easier as I learned to lean on Him. How much wasted time in my life trying to do things on my own. I thank God He brought me to the point where I realized I had no strength of my own anymore. Thank you for coming by, please come again so I can hear more about how you’re doing. Love you, Holly

As I sit here contemplating at the right words to say, my nose is stinging and the tears are welling up…I want to encourage, cause that’s my desire! But I have no idea what to say! I’m at a loss cause your strength from the Lord supersedes anything I have to offer!(cue the Little Drummer Boy here) I KNOW where that strength comes from, cause I have seen it grow and grow over the past 16 years!

So many have gone, but my first encounter was with Gilbert…you were taking care of him full time with 8 children!!, yet you were spreading the Gospel and contending for the Faith like there wasn’t a care in the world in your life…when in reality, you were going through the toughest time!!! I looked up to your love, grace, patience, courage, your strength, your “chutzpah” in such a GOOD way!

The more I got to know you, the more I realized that all those things were from the SAME source… HIS FEET!!! None of it was from you, or anything you went through per say, it was a direct line from sitting at His Feet, reading His Word, and it would not be taken from you…It was ALL HIM!!! And I wanted it!!!!

I started reading every single day…I studied to show myself approved, I let HIM cleanse me from the inside of my cup! I started to PROVE all things! I saw error right from the git go! I marked, avoided, and exposed those who creep in privily! I lost friends, I gained SISTERS and BROTHERS that were way more than friends…they are FAMILY!! Just as YOU are!!

I am not alone either…there are thousands who have not only been touched by your RAW blogs, posts, and fellowship… they are now spreading the GOOD NEWS that you have encouraged them to do so, and they have in turn lost friends(and family) yet gained something so incredible…a relationship with the Lord and each other that is such a Blessing there is NO WAY to begin to show the ripples that have gone forth…you’ve built this legacy on SUFFERING!! Yet your GRACE is quite unparallel!

You’ve taught women(and men sshhhh!) to LOVE HIS WORD!!! Because it’s the NEEDED thing!!

There’s so much suffering and death out there, but watching you handle it makes me KNOW what the RIGHT PATH is…it’s IN HIS WORD!!! It’s the ONLY way you could answer with a kind word when people are name calling and railing at you…we’ve been called a LOT of things, but my favorite is still “whores of grace”… I was appalled when it was first said to us…but when I saw your face, snickering…as my jaw was on the floor…that’s when things started to really change for me in my speech! Seasoned with salt IN LOVE…never again going back to a sounding gong(please help me with that Lord)…cause the single most important thing I have learned from you is this… let the WORD speak! (I’m still not good at the addresses, but I can look it up when needed… )

I’m so sorry you are going through such grief right now…but I STILL see you…my original SWOG(Sweet Woman of God) going about doing the Fathers business…out of pure LOVE for His WORD!!! I still want that! I don’t think I’ll ever NOT want that now that you have shown me what it does!

Dottie was so blessed to have you as a daughter! And I am so STINKING Blessed that I have you as a friend that loveth at all times!

    In Him, Psalm 91

    • Kimberrly, what a sweet, encouraging letter, that also made me chuckle (thinking back to the Hebrew Roots people who called us ‘whores of grace’. What you may not remember, is we were contending because one of the people my parents had met during their missions, his son was becoming involved in this false teaching. But, may the Lord bring them out of error, or shut their mouths.

I know the Lord has led so many of us together to fellowship here on earth and labor together in the harvest. I am very thankful He could use anything in us at all, but we know He has a way of making something from nothing (like man from dust) 🙂 But then again, He made even the dust. And I’m reminded of one of our passages that we all love:

(really the whole Psalm, but will share these verses from 103)

11 For as the heavens are high above the earth,
      So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;

12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

13 As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him.
      14 For He knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust.

      15 As for man, his days are like grass;
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
16 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone,
And its place remembers it no more.
17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
      On those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children’s children,

      Love you Kimbo <3

Holly, please accept my deepest condolences regarding the passing of your dear mother— the thought of her being in the presence of our Lord Jesus, praising and worshiping Him, must be of great comfort to you. Also, please know that i will be praying that our Great Physician heals you of your cancer. I know that we are hundreds of miles away from each other, but if there’s anything that i can do, please do not hesitate to ask. Finally, praise God that your two sons were not seriously injured and that they are well, God was definitely watching over them. Grace, mercy, and peace to you, dear sister.

    • Thank you Mark for your kindness brother. It’s been awhile. I can only begin to imagine what it’s like for her now, including the moment of her death, being whisked away by an angel to the side of Christ (Lk 16:22; 2 Cor 5:8). I’m really at peace (mostly) about the cancer. I have feelings like Paul regarding friends and family and my women’s Bible study.

For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. Phil 1:23-24

I’m so very thankful for His protection for my two sons. I know you know my oldest has a severe Traumatic brain injury from an accident, so it’s hard to not be frightened by these things, but I just keep praying and leaning on Him in trust (vs. my own understanding).

Much of the same to you (Grace, mercy and Peace) and much harvest too to your account. Love in Christ. (You still in N. CA?)

Holly, i am still living in LA, but my aim is to get out of here in the not too distant future because it is becoming intolerable on every level. Btw, have you see the devilish documentary that was uploaded onto YouTube over a week ago that attacked OSAS (Eternal Security)? It featured the likes of works salvationists Michael Brown, Joe Schimmel, heretic and sinless perfectionist, Jesse Morrell, and a host of other Arminian false teachers. It was brought to my attention by a dear sister and grace believer in Australia. May our Great God protect the souls of all those who have the unfortunate circumstance of viewing the satanically inspired piece of trash.

        • Mark, I used to live just off the beach in Ventura. Even back then, it wasn’t tolerable for me, I can’t imagine how it is for you. I have heard of the documentary from several people. I shake my head (in sadness) over the people that allowed these men platforms. Praying with you for people to be shielded against their lies, unfortunately, there are many who would rather believe a lie.
