We all like to think back to living in a better time. A seemingly more innocent time. We have seen evil exposed in recent years that is not only unseemly but shocking. We have watched ‘news’ commentators tell us something is a certain way, when our mind, discernment and our eyes have told us differently. And the evil seems to grow exponentially.

Let’s face it, we have wicked rulers in our government, those we believe to be taking bribes (or being extorted) from hostile foreign governments. We watch seemingly helplessly as criminals flood across the border. Those same so-called journalists paint them all as people seeking a better life, while we hear stories of enough fentanyl to kill our population several times over. We know there are children being trafficked into sex trade and women being raped, killed and abused. The cartel is having a hey day freely roaming across our plains. Recent reports from a Tucker news report tells of Chinese males (military-aged) coming by the droves through the Darien Gap into America. Pray dear friends, and keep praying as you see these things.

We just came out of the period of time where a virus was let loose in China, our ‘democratic’ leaders happily shutting our country down, forcing our medical people, our government and military employees to take an unproven (and now seemingly very harmful) vaccine. Forced to take it or lose their livelihood. Forced and coerced to wear masks or be refused service. Forced to take something injected into our bodies when we didn’t even know the ingredient list or any side effects. What could go wrong? We watch in sadness as our way of life is made more difficult by those we employ to make it easier, yet they are becoming dictators. This is conditioning my friends for the end we know is coming. It is getting darker.

We have many wolves in sheep’s clothing in the ‘church’ and we’re seeing that leaven increase as the Bible foretold in the Parable of the Leaven.  Sects within sects of new heresies, and multiple winds of doctrine. We have many carnal sheep who can bite more sharply (it seems sometimes) than the wolves. Then we have those who claim Christ, but have no knowledge or understanding of the gospel of grace. They claim to understand grace while they add works to the free gift of eternal life. Some deceived, many deceivers who have gone out into the world (2 John 1:7). Don’t weary in well doing my friends.

We know there are so many who are enemies of all that is right and good. They have no truth in them, and for nefarious reasons, they want to see you enslaved. They are of their father:

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. John 8:44

You know, they hated Him more than anyone has ever been hated, and for no reason. He was innocent. He never sinned against anyone. He healed people who had been blind, deaf, lame, lepers, demon possessed, those bleeding for years, even raising people from the dead. How did they respond to that? The Chief Priests wanted to kill Lazarus, the one who was raised from the dead (John 12:9-10). Leaders in Power who want to hide all that is good and persecute those that do good. Sound familiar?

Every type of person hated Him. The religious leaders who had power and favor and position weren’t going to give it up. The political leaders who knew of this King, who had been prophesied for centuries and centuries. So what was the response? To send out people to kill the baby born at the time prophesied. Since he didn’t know where he was, he just figured to kill all babies under the age of 2 to eliminate the problem (Matt 2). Pharaoh decided to eliminate his problem the same way (Exodus 1). Just kill all the male babies. This world, with Satan as it’s head, has always hated Israel and those who have placed their faith in Christ (the universal church).

His own people rejected Him (He came unto His own and they received Him not -John 1:12), the same ones He healed and showed love to their children. His own family, His brothers, didn’t believe in Him (until He died and rose again). They mocked Him, His own hometown mocked Him and didn’t believe He was the Savior.

The Chief Priests who were supposed to interpret the prophecies and identify the Messiah, instead blasphemed the Holy Spirit by attributing His miracles to Satan. They would watch miracle after miracle, and then as blind leaders of the blind, they denounced it, as if it never happened. When the great earthquake happened, and the angel of the Lord rolled away the stones, besides the women, the guards who were all on watch at the tomb, saw all of this, and shook with fear as if dead. The Angel of the Lord spoke telling the women not to be afraid, that Jesus had risen from the dead, and they would see Him in Galilee (where He had already gone). The guard came into the city to report to the Chief Priests all that had happened. Do you think the Priests believed them? If they thought they were crazy they would have just sent them away and said the guys were nuts. I believe they knew He rose from the dead, and conspired together (as it said in Matthew 28), to give a large sum of money to the soldiers to lie and say this;

“Tell them, ‘His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept.’ And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will appease him and make you secure.” So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day. (Matt 28:11-15)

Again, does this sound familiar to the lying spirits and the conspiracies of today?

Jealousy, fear, murderous, venomous hatred had swirled like a tornado with dark fury towards this world’s only hope. The religious and political leaders plotted against God’s only begotten Son, but this too was prophesied.

Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
“Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.”

He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.

Psalm 2:1-4

These rulers paid to have Jesus betrayed to death by His friend, Judas (Zech 11:12-13; Matt 26:15; Luke 22:5-6). These willfully delivered Him up to be murdered. and killed the Prince of Life who God raised from the dead (Acts 3:12-15). Jesus gave His life up willingly. Even though these men were evil, and would follow this up by saying He had a devil, He told them this:

Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. John 10:17-18

There is no understanding this kind of wickedness. As prophesied, they despised Him, rejected Him, beat Him, mocked Him, cursed Him, spat upon Him, flogged Him, shoved a crown of thorns into his scalp and temples, even plucked out the hair of His beard — leaving Him so disfigured that His ‘visage was marred’ (as was prophesied) — He was unrecognizable. And He did it willingly in great love for you, for me. He laid His life down and He took it back up again (rose from the dead as He said He would). They crucified the Lord of glory (1 Cor 2:8), but He had the victory over sin, death and the grave (1 Cor 15:50-58).

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (Jn 15:13)

This evil and wickedness has been around since Satan aspired to be higher than God. Since man chose to listen to him instead of the perfect Creator who gave Him life. And rebellion of man has continued and will until Jesus comes the second time as the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

Take Heart my friends, because Greater is He that is in you, than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4)

Do you know where you would go if you died today? Tonight? Tomorrow?

He asks you to believe on Him as the only way to be saved. Not with ANY additions of work, or it is no longer grace. Don’t add works!

If you will simply believe Him (take Him at His Word), He says you will never perish, never be cast out, never come under condemnation, never will be snatched out of His hand, never be forsaken, never be separated from His love, and not one of us will be lost.

Take Him at His Word, He is not a man that He should lie (Num 23:19; 1 Sam 15:29; James 1:17). Great is His faithfulness…

John 3:15-16; John 5:24; John 6:37; John 10:28-29; Heb 13:5; Rom 8:31-39

These are not the good old days. But this time we are going through will pass. We may have a respite. Or it may just continue to grow worse. But regardless, He is coming again to reign in Righteousness. The question is, do you have His righteousness (by faith in Him)? Or are you possibly still under His wrath?

You cannot ‘do’ anything to be pleasing to Him except believe on Him (John 6:28-29). People are always try to ‘do’. To clean up, to make themselves acceptable, to do good works, to turn from sin, to reform themselves, to belong to a certain church, but none of these things will save, in fact they can keep you from being saved if you trust these as part of what you must do to be saved (Gal 3:10-12; Rom 4:1-5; Eph 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7; Gal 2:16; Rom 11:6).

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17

He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. John 3:36

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24

If you have trusted in Him, let me know if you want. But the most important thing you can do is to get into His Word. It is the one thing that will never be taken from you (Luke 10:38-42). His Word does so much for us. Maybe start reading in the book of John. Enjoy it but also notice where Jesus is referenced and the things that are said about Him. The miracles He performed. The I AM statements throughout the book. The opposition from people. The lack of faith coming at times from those closest to Him. And most of all, the one condition repeated over and over – BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ (God, the Messiah, Jehovah saves, the Anointed). Who He is and what He did for you. And if you need any help, leave us a comment.

Love in Christ to you all.
