And this is Life Eternal
PRAYER REQUEST FOR MY SON ADAM
How long is eternal?
There is a whole lot of mocking and scoffing going on regarding eternal life (or OSAS as they sometimes mockingly call it).
Read the Word. Eternal life is the gift (Rom 6:23). How long is everlasting? If you don’t possess eternal life, if it is not eternal, if you can lose it or walk away, you have misunderstood the Gospel. And if you are taking teaching from one of them that preach it…. flee! It is another gospel. Being passed from death unto life, is the act of being born again. We are already seated in Heavenly places.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24
WHOSE HAND ARE YOU IN?
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:35-36
Please notice, the Father GAVE us to the Son. We are GIFTS. Will He lose us because we are stronger than Him? No, when we believed we are SEALED with His Spirit. He will KEEP us.
NO MAN….
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one. John 10:27-30
GOD SAYS NO MAN, THAT MEANS EVEN YOU. THAT MEANS NO MAN IS ABLE.
HOW MANY TIMES THE ENEMY TWISTS GOD’S WORD…
ETERNAL means ETERNAL!
EVERLASTING means EVERLASTING!!
THE WHOLE WORLD really means THE WHOLE WORLD…
HE IS THE PROPITIATION FOR THE WHOLE WORLD. AND YES, IN THIS VERSE, WHOLE WORLD IS NOT JUST A FIGURE OF SPEECH, IT MEANS WHOLE WORLD. (1 John 2:2) It is not just speaking of Jews and Gentiles or all the nations.
Christ tasted death for whom?
WILL YOU BELIEVE?
Jesus was resurrected, we are made alive through the shed blood of the everlasting covenant (a sign of His seal) and the regeneration of the Spirit (also a sign of His seal). This covenant is not a two-party covenant. This promise was made not based on our performance, but by God’s UNCONDITIONAL Promise. His gifts are irrevocable.
How does one believe? (By the hearing of the Word, by the Preaching of the Gospel – Rom 10:14-17, 2 Tim 3:15, Rom 1:16-17, 1 Cor 1:17-18, 1 Cor 2:1-5)
So, share the gospel, preach His Word in and out of season, pray for ALL people (1 Tim 2:1-6), He desires ALL to be saved, and was a ransom for ALL.
How is the propitiation appropriated? Do you have faith what His shed blood accomplished for you? His resurrection from the death, proving He is God, has the power over life and death, and victory over sin, it has no more sting (Jn 10:17-18; 1 Cor 15:50-57; Rom 3:25-26). Do you believe in Him? Then when you do, in Christ you shall be made alive (1 Cor 15:22), without the shedding of blood there is not forgiveness of sin His Word says. Christ blood was the only perfect blood that has ever been, or ever will be shed, and He did it because of His great love for you.
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Do you believe upon Him as your Savior? He is Lord over all the earth. He is Lord over the demons. He is your Lord whether you call Him Lord or not, and you will bow to Him and call Him Lord, but you will not be saved. Do you trust Him as Your Savior? That His blood is effective as payment in full for your sins? This is truth! Nothing you can do but BELIEVE on the TRUTH. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, no man shall come to the Father but by Him.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
YES! GOD LOVED THE WHOLE WORLD! YES! GOD LOVES SINNERS!
GOD LAID THE SINS OF ALL MEN UPON JESUS CHRIST
ALL.
ALL DOES MEAN ALL.
FREELY OFFERED TO ALL PEOPLE.
ALL ARE SINNERS, EVERY SINGLE PERSON.
ALL ARE SEPARATED FROM GOD FOR OUR SINS. Many of these self-righteous (and also self-condemned-Titus 3:10-11) ‘REPENT FROM SIN’ or ‘TURN FROM YOUR SIN’ or even ‘STOP-SINNING’ preachers don’t seem to understand their dead works cannot bring life. If we could turn from sin, or stop sinning, or be sorry enough for our sins, all those who have formerly tried would have been successful. The enemy is deceiving these people into believe THEY’VE done it. THEY have been sorry enough, THEY have stopped sinning, THEY have turned from sin, etc. etc. We need to realize there is nothing we can do.
PREACHERS – OR LISTENERS:
HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH? HOW SORRY? HOW LONG? HOW MANY? WHAT IF YOU ARE STILL SINNING (YOU ARE – so break one law, you break them ALL).
Lastly… how can you ever know if you did enough, or you did it right? Well, the next thing you’ll be doing is examining your works vs. trusting in His Word.
IF WE COULD DO THESE THINGS BEFORE RECEIVING CHRIST, HE WOULD NOT HAVE NEEDED TO DIE.
THESE MEN NEED TO STOP TWISTING GOD’S WORD!
You can have peace with God right now. Forever — by believing on His Son, Jesus Christ and His work on the cross. He died for you, for your sins, so you would not have to die eternally. It is a eternal solution, He forgave all your sins and nailed all the handwriting of ordinances that were against you (the 10 commandments) to HIS cross. He did it willingly, in your place. All, past, present and future forgiven if you will believe upon Him as your Savior and accept the free gift of ETERNAL (not probationary) life. We can believe Him because not only did He fulfill prophecy, but He prophesied about the fact He would willingly lay down His life and how He had the POWER to take it up again. Why? Because He is God. He said, if you have seen me, you have seen the Father.
It is not a prayer that saves you (although it’s good to talk to Him). It is not about repenting from sins or turning from sins (which is a good work to do once you are saved), but these things cannot contribute to giving you eternal life because it is free. It is not by works of righteousness (Titus 3:4-7). Confessing your sins and asking for forgiveness will not save you. It is fine to say you are sorry to Him, it is fine if you do not. We recognize that we all sin, and because of that we will all die. But we are told we need to BELIEVE. People need to understand that all we must do is BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. Again, that means we have believed what He has done on the Cross in our place and have not added to the things we must do, or taken away from the whole gospel. This is the Gospel.
Jesus died for your sins, He is the payment in full. He rose again, and so will you to life eternal if you have placed your trust (believed upon) Him. Eternal life is given, the moment we believe. THAT is the FREE GIFT (Rom 6:23; Rom 5:15-21), and is a perfect gift, for the Gift of God is everlasting life through being born again of the Spirit. And we are SEALED with that Spirit until the day of redemption (Eph 4:30). God is not a man that He should lie.
Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. John 4:10-14
If you are unsure, if you have been told so many different things in your life, I suggest you start by reading the book of John first, and Romans chapter 1-8 to understand the gospel (good news) of your salvation.
You must believe on Him. That means repenting (changing your mind/ thinking) from your old way of how to be saved (unbelief), to belief on the ONLY way, the ONLY truth, the ONLY life (Jn 16; 14:6)– no man/woman comes to the Father but by Jesus Christ. Most are believing that dead works can save you, or religionists add to the gift of everlasting life. No one is good enough to approach God. The worst is as far from God as the best on this earth, the best will perish — that is, if you do not have Jesus Christ making you right in God’s sight.
Religion or a specific church cannot save you or add to your becoming saved. Church membership or attendance cannot save. All the committing of your life or heart, surrendering, giving up things, promises, etc. again, might be good things ONCE you are saved, but CANNOT save you nor keep you saved.
You can be the most religious and seemingly good person, but ponder facing God, thinking you have believed on His Son — finding but that by adding your own dead works to the equation, you have rejected the ONE WAY He gave ALL MEN to be saved, (The death by crucifixion for your sins, of His Son Jesus Christ at Calvary. He offered up His life willingly, and took His life back again when He rose from the dead 3 days later, proving He was God and the Scriptures spoken of Him were true). HE DID IT ALL. The One who beget you by His Word (James 1:18; 1 Pet 1:23), who started you in the Spirit, will finish you in the Spirit, NOT by your flesh (Gal 3:3).
If you have rejected that ONE WAY, you will have NO EXCUSE (Romans 1 tells us), and NO second chances, there is no purgatory. It is appointed unto all men ONCE to die, THEN the JUDGMENT (Heb 9:27).
We have ALL sinned, and ALL have fallen short of His glory. Those sins will cause your eternal death unless you have believed (Rom 3:23). The good news is the Gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord — and it is FREE.
